LOCAL 340’S BUSINESS OFFICE NEWS
As we are nearing the end of another year, one that has been quite stressful to say the least, I would like to take this time to extend my appreciation to all our Brothers and Sisters. We continue to stay open via phone and email for our members. Please remember to call the hall at 916-927-4239 and dial 7 for our full list of directory to be connected to the correct person.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS BASKET
We are excited to announce we will be hold our first online raffle for Operation Christmas Basket this year. Due to the many unforeseen changes, rules and regulation prohibiting us to hold our normal membership meetings that we normally hold this raffle at we will be selling our tickets online and will hold a live drawing, which will be held on the first Wednesday of December. This raffle helps many Union families who may be experiencing a tough time throughout the year and into the holiday season. If you, a Union Brother or Sister are in need of assistance this holiday season whether that be a holiday meal or help with presents please reach out to our Office Manager Reyna Jimenez via phone at 916-539-0412 or email reyna@ibewlocal340.org. Please help support our efforts by purchasing tickets. Look out for emails and/or text reminders with the link to purchase tickets.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
This is a reminder that we hold our New Member Orientation classes bi-monthly. Our class is for all new members who have made membership this year. It is held via Zoom and we encourage all new members and their spouses or significant others to attend this very informative class. It answers many questions regarding your membership, its benefits, and provides you with important contact information. If you recently joined and have not attended one of these classes it is imperative you call the hall to be scheduled to for our next class.
BASIC MONTHLY DUES
Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that your basic monthly dues are paid. Each month you should be receiving a yellow dues receipt on or around the first week. There are many ways to pay and check the status of your dues payment. We encourage you check our website www.ibewlocal340.org and sign on to view your dues status and other important information. You can pay online, mail in a check or money order, or also call the hall.
DEFERRED SAVINGS DEPOSITS – CHECKS
We have switched over to the new process for deferred savings for almost a year now and notice there are still quite a few members who have not turned in their form. It is imperative that all members get the necessary documents (EFT and voided check) turned in so we can effectively work the Trust Office to get the deferred savings deposits done in a timely matter. If you have questions regarding your deposits or need a form please contact Teresa Raney at 916-923-0666 and she will be happy to assist you.
REST IN PEACE
