LOCAL 340 EVENTS
We will be bringing back our Annual Pin Presentation to our “Old Timers”. It has been quite some time since we have been also to celebrate those who have come before us. We are excited to bring back this small but heartfelt event. No matter how far our local has gone, it is best to remember those who helped light the way. This event is scheduled for November 5th. A Save the Date was recently mailed to all the recipients for the past 2 years, we hope to see majority of you there!
The RENEW had a successful corn hole event and is excited to bring another event to our members and their family members. They will be holding a Poker Tournament on August 27th at 1 PM here at the hall. There is a $50 buy which includes food! For more information or to help support our RENEW group please reach out to Joseph Miller at miller_a_joe@hotmail.com.
The EWMC will be returning with their Annual Rib Cook off. The date is currently set for October 15th. The details are still in the works but look out for more information to be released.
Another event we have set is our “Get Ready to Retire Seminar”. Like all our other events, we are happy to bring this informative and sought out after panel of speakers for those who are looking to get more insight about the different pensions offered through IBEW and more. The date is set for November 12th and will begin at 9 AM. If you would like to attend, we encourage you to bring your spouse and RSVP to Clerical Assistant Kao Nu at 916-927-4239 ext. 1001.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
Please plan to attend the next class on September 27th at 5 pm. This class will be held at the hall, we will be migrating back to in person classes, and we encourage you to bring your spouse or partner along with you. Reminders will be sent out a week prior to the class. This class is very informative and addresses numerous topics that new members have.
340 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP PICNIC
We held our last picnic meeting on July 21st. While details are underway and we are gathering supplies needed, we could still use extra volunteers. If you are interested in attending or helping with our annual membership picnic, please reach out to Office Manager Reyna Jimenez at 916-539-0412 or by email at reyna@ibewlocal340.org.
ACCIDENTS/ILLNESSES
We are happy to report there are no accidents or illnesses at this time.
We hope you and your family continue to stay safe and continue enjoying this time.
