IBEW ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP PICNIC
Another year full of plans as we enter a new year for our Annual Membership Picnic. This year our picnic will be held on September 20th at Hagan Community Park. We will continue the tradition of barrel chicken and tri tip along with new comebacks from last year like Gunther’s ice cream and face painting. If you are interested in helping on the picnic committee contact Reyna at the hall via email reyna@ibewlocal340.org or cell 916-539-0412.
NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
If you were not able to attend our January class the next scheduled orientation will be April 15th. A reschedule letter has been mailed to those who missed this class. We encourage you to bring your spouse or significant other as this is a great opportunity for any questions you may have regarding your union membership and understanding the local union.
WOMEN’S COMMITTEE
This past month the Women’s Committee participated in Habitat for Humanity Women Build. It was a great turnout, the ladies showed out and showed up to help our local community. This special event invites anyone who wants to learn how to build or repair a home to empower women everywhere to address housing issues for themselves, their families and their neighbors and our Women’s Committee was very excited to help take part in such an impactful event. In speaking with Michelle Stoffel, she got to work alongside with the families whose homes they were helping build, “it was truly heart warming and inspiring. It was an honor for us to be able to give back to our community” We look forward to participating again next event.
ANNUAL RENEW CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT
The RENEW group hosted their annual cornhole tournament at our Union Hall. It was a great weekend for fun and friendly competition. RENEW had a total of 9 teams accompanied by family and friends. The winners this year went to 1st place: Thomas Brunette & Devon Nelson and 2nd place: Dustin Sable & Anthony Brunson. Congratulations to the winners and big thanks to RENEW for another great event.
EWMC
EWMC is kicking back up again and is currently holding their monthly meetings every second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm. They recently had a sock drive with barrels at both our membership meetings and in the Ju Jitsu facility. They had good feedback for it being the first local event in some time. If you are interested in being a part of this committee, please feel free to show up to any of their monthly meetings here at the hall.

The maximum distribution is $24,000 per person over a period not to exceed eight years.
