LOCAL 340 ELECTIONS – BALLOTS AND ELECTIONS

The results are in, and I would like to extend a huge Thank You to all those who participated in our Elections for the term 2022-2025. Congratulations to all the recently elected officers both new and former. Please help me in welcoming all these members in their position. All officers were sworn in at the July membership meeting.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those of who reelected me as Business Manager. I am grateful for your trust in me to continue serving you and guiding this membership in the direction we all envisioned. I hope to continue our growth and partnerships going forward.

 

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

Please plan to attend the next class on September 27^th at 5 pm. This class will be held at the hall, we will be migrating back to in person classes, and we encourage you to bring your spouse or partner along with you. Reminders will be sent out a week prior to the class. This class is very informative and addresses numerous topics that new members have.

 

340 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP PICNIC

We will be having our second meeting on July 21^st at 4 pm. This meeting will be held via zoom. If you are interested in attending or helping with our annual membership picnic, please reach out to Office Manager Reyna Jimenez at 916-539-0412 or by email at reyna@ibewlocal340.org.

 

ACCIDENTS/ILLNESSES

Retired Brother Richard Heaton passed on 5/22/22. He was a 61-year member and 83 years of age.

Active Brother Webster Randall passed on 5/26/22. He was a 2-year member and 48 years of age.

CIVIL SERVICE UNIT MEETING – Quarterly on the 3^RD Thursdays of January, April, July & October at the Hall. NEXT QUARTERLY CIVIL SERVICE MEETING Thursday July 21^st @ 5:00PM – Note: Five (5) members needed to have a quorum.

LOCAL 340 ELECTIONS – BALLOTS AND ELECTIONS

The ballots for Local 340 Elections were mailed out on May 11^th to all active members. Receipt and counting ballots will have taken place by the time this reaches you. At the June meeting, we will announce the winners and the installation of officers shall occur at the July meeting. Good luck to all the candidates.

 

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

We would like to thank all the members who attended our last class on May 14^th. We had lots of questions and a great follow up with these new members. If you happened to miss this class, we have rescheduled you for our next class. Please plan to attend the next class on September 27^th at 5 pm. Our first meeting was held on May 19^th. It was a small turn out but we are excited to be in the works of planning this event that is in the hearts of many of our long time members.
